This is the Parish Council web-site for the village of Hilton in South Derbyshire. The PC hope to make it a useful centre for information about the Parish and how the Council represents its Parishioners.
You can find information on Parish Council meetings, including the minutes from previous meetings. Articles and information from current and past Parish Council newsletters are also available on-line.
Furthermore there are sections covering events in the village; links to other community groups in Hilton; and a section on the village itself with useful links to other resources in the Internet.

Office Opening Times – Public Access

If you would like to talk to the Hilton Parish Council Clerk, you will need an APPOINTMENT. If you do not book an appointment prior to visiting the Clerk, the Clerk may not be available to see you. Please remember that, for the majority of the time, the Parish Clerk is a lone worker; this system is in place to make sure she is safe at work and so that she can efficiently manage her workload.
Appointments can be booked between the following days and times, except for the last Wednesday of the month or if the Clerk is off site or on Annual Leave.

  • Monday 9am to 2.30pm
  • Wednesday 9am to 2.30pm
  • Friday 9am to 2.30pm

Although Hilton Parish Council will endeavour to add the agenda to our website prior to a Parish Council Meeting this may not always be possible. There may be occasions where the agenda will not be added to our website prior to a meeting depending on circumstances. However the agenda is available to view on our Parish Council notice board situated at the Parish Council Office. Alternatively copies of the agenda are available at our Parish Council Meetings and any member of the public is welcome to attend. Adding the agenda to our website prior to a Parish Council Meeting is not a legal requirement. The legal requirement for the Parish Council is to advertise the Parish Council Meeting, date and time on the Parish Council notice board situated at the Parish Council Office in the required time frame allowed for such matters.
